In an exciting and momentous meeting, Prince Azter Morales, a promising student from Davao Oriental Regional Science High School (DORSHS), sat down with key education officials to discuss his upcoming participation in the prestigious Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange Program (KLYEP). The meeting with SDS Winnie E. Batoon, CESO V, ASDS Josie T. Bolofer, and CID Chief Maria Gina F. Flores, along with Mrs. Fernalyn Morales, Mrs. Jessica M. Lumapas, and Mr. Johannes Latras, was filled with anticipation and pride. They eagerly listened as Prince Azter shared his aspirations and goals for the program, highlighting his desire to immerse himself in a new culture, develop lifelong friendships, and gain a global perspective on education.
The Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange Program is a prestigious initiative sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, aiming to foster mutual understanding and goodwill between the United States and other nations. It provides outstanding high school students, like Prince Azter Morales, the unique opportunity to spend ten months in the United States, immersing themselves in American culture, academics, and daily life.
During the meeting, the education officials and Prince Azter’s mother expressed their pride and confidence in the young scholar’s selection for the program. SDS Winnie E.
